Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi
Our company representative who is also your safari guide for this trip will meet you at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, give a briefing on the tour, and set off to Bwindi. Have a stopover for the equator experience at Kayabwe and proceed with the journey, lunch in Mbarara, and arrive at your lodge in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
You will wake up and have an early morning breakfast, and also pack some food for lunch so that in case the trek lasts long, you may eat in the forest. On arrival at the park offices, you will meet other trekkers, and get briefed about the dos and don’ts as well as what to expect during the trek. Thereafter enter the forest and start the search for the mountain gorillas. The duration of the trek will depend on the location of the gorillas and once they are spotted, you will have a precious one hour with them.
The walk in the forest is an opportunity to see forest birds and other animals that live there such as chimps, although these are rare to see. After gorilla trekking, you will return to the lodge and relax.
Optional evening activity- Batwa cultural experience
Day 3: Return to Entebbe or Kampala
This is your last day of the safari and it will start with breakfast at your lodge before checking out. Then get ready for the long journey back to Entebbe or Kampala where you will arrive in the evening.
End of 3 Days Gorilla Safari
