Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking

The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. You’ll spend a maximum of one hour with these majestic creatures once found. After an exhilarating day, return to your lodge for dinner and celebrate your successful trek.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Today, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, approximately 272 km from Bwindi (about 4.5 hours). Stop at the Igongo Cultural Center for a museum visit and lunch. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, check in to your lodge, enjoy dinner, and unwind for the night.

Day 9: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start your day with an early breakfast, then head out for a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Look for impalas, zebras, and a variety of birds. After your drive, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you might see elephants, hippos, and numerous bird species. After your cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Back to Kampala

Depart from Lake Mburo and drive back to Kampala in your 4×4 rental car. On the way, stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photo opportunities. Continue your journey back to Kampala.

Day 11: Departure
